About Us

The Franklin County Opiate Crisis Task Force recognizes substance use disorder as a complex, multifactorial health disorder that can be prevented and treated.

We exist to promote awareness to the problem in Franklin County, to examine preventive measures and aid in implementation, to provide educational opportunities for professionals to improve prescribing of opiates, to examine law enforcement measures and promote innovative programs, to examine legislation and promote opiate related bills, and lastly, to examine our recovery community, increase certified recovery homes and promote use of peer recovery advocates.
